The four years of high school are the building blocks towards what is to come during one’s adult years, and EBHS does its best to prepare its students for whatever career path they decide to pursue in the future.

For some, the choice of what to do after high school has always been easy: whether because of family, passion, or chance, it’s been set in stone since childhood.

“I have always been set on mechanical engineering since I was a kid because of my dad, and I plan on pursuing it at Rochester Institute of Technology to get my bachelor’s and work at an engineering firm after,” said Kody Li.

However, for many, the next four years are not a straightforward road. Jesse Bock said, “I plan to go to a community college for two years, then a university, probably Rutgers, for the last two, with a major in culinary or theatre.” By giving himself more time to immerse himself in his interests, Jesse is able to confidently settle on what he truly wishes to do instead of rushing into a decision.

There are endless other paths, like serving in the military, enlisting in trade school, or taking a gap year, but none of these could be taken without the hard work and dedication the Class of 2025 has put in throughout the past four years. These plans are fueled by the creativity and passion in their hearts for their respective interests in order to determine how they plan to leave their mark on the world.
