Senior Sunset 2026

The school year is coming to a close, and seniors are getting ready for their last few events. As summer approaches and the outside becomes enjoyable again, Senior Sunset becomes the perfect opportunity to spend time in the warm weather. 

EBHS Senior Riya Joshi said, “I am really excited for Senior Sunset. I can get together with my friends, and we can hang out a few weeks before school is actually over.” The event is free of charge, and will happen no matter the weather. Sophomores and Juniors can even volunteer to set up the event. The event took place on June 18th, at 6 pm. 

 Despite Senior Sunset being a fun event, it’s bittersweet for many. Many seniors have built close friendships, even with underclassmen, and some say it’s hard to come to terms with. Senior Caitlyn Laury said, “ I have a lot of underclassmen friends, and even though I’m staying in-state for college, it’s still gonna be weird not seeing them every day.” 

This event gives students, underclassmen or not, the chance to wish the seniors good luck in their journeys after high school. “It’s a great way to end the year, and it’s cool that we are circling back to Senior Sunrise since now we are done being seniors!” As the seniors say goodbye, many look towards the future for the fresh opportunities that'll come.
