New School Year Resolutions

SEPTEMBER 14, 2026

On September 2nd, thousands of students' footsteps filled the hallways. The school year officially started, where students have to to adjust to new schedules, new responsibilities, and sometimes a whole new school.

Although the first few days  felt overwhelming for some, they also motivated students. Sophomore Dylan Labarsky said,” After marching band season started, I’ve been really driven to practice a lot more and get better at my instrument.” Other students have a variety of academic goals. For example, Junior Gustavo Robles said, “I want to do better overall in school, but especially in math. I really enjoy the subject, and I think if I put my mind to it I can make it happen!”

In addition to these goals, many expressed that they want to become more social and just enjoy the year ahead of them. Senior Rafaela Sepulveda said, “I really wanna enjoy my senior year. Even though my classes may be challenging, I want to make sure I am staying close with my friends and also meeting new people because I might never see them again.”

It’s apparent students have many different goals for this year. With these goals in mind, each student has found a way to make the most of the new school year at EBHS.
