As another school year starts, and EBHS students begin their transition from summer to school. Many reflect on how they’ve spent their time off. Undeniably, as students greet their friends in person at school again, one of the most commonly asked questions is: “What did you do this summer?” Here's some examples of what students had to say.
Ella Lu, a senior at East Brunswick High School said, “I spent a lot of my summer preparing for college applications, such as working on my college list and personal statement. I also went on vacation with my family and took the opportunity to visit some colleges as well.”
Aarav Dhar, junior at East Brunswick High School said, “I spent a lot of my summer outside with my friends and family on vacation. I also did an internship over the summer and some other independent work, which I felt was a good use of my time.”
Pranay Burla, junior at East Brunswick High School agreed and said, “I spent most of my summertime previewing and studying for courses I am planning to take this year.”
Regardless of how students chose to spend their summer, keeping a balance between the opportunity to rest and be productive remains a priority for future success. How students spend their summer is a direct and positive reflection of that.
