On January 9th, Asian Club hosted their highly anticipated annual Bubble Tea Night. The event, intended to celebrate Asian culture and cuisine, offered a variety of food from Asian countries, such as orange chicken, vegetable lo mein, fried rice, and more. However, the main star of the event was the bubble tea, of which a wide variety of flavors were offered: milk tea, mango green tea, passionfruit green tea, and taro milk tea. Besides the food, the event also consisted of various entertaining band performances, such as the Purple Circle, Brown Eyed Girls, Double A Batteries, and Girls Generally Asian.

To bring the event together, the Asian Club put in countless hours behind the scenes. “Our entire team has worked tirelessly in anticipation for Bubble Tea Night. We've collaborated very well together as a club to make a really fun event, and it was very exciting to see our work and vision come into fruition,” said Asian Club Presidents Ariane Yu and Jonathan Seto.

The excitement was so widespread that even those who did not attend had positive things to say. Sophomore Zixin Siu said, “Although I did not attend the event, it seemed really exciting, and the posters for advertising were done really well. This would definitely be an event I would be interested in taking part in next year.”

“Overall, we would say the event was a huge success,” Meeting Coordinator LeAnn Chen added on and said. “It was the event of the season!”

Altogether, people from different backgrounds came together during this event to embrace Asian culture and food, honoring the diversity within East Brunswick High School while also showcasing the success of the Asian Club as a whole.
