Winter Wonderland Brings Holiday Spirit to East Brunswick

Winter Wonderland, East Brunswick’s Winter Season Festival, took place on Saturday, December 6th in the municipal complex, bringing great holiday cheer to East Brunswick. Festivities included the Holiday Market, Lighting Ceremony, Cookies With Claus, and more.
The Holiday Market featured numerous stalls offering a variety of food, jewelry, clothing, and more. Additionally, there was a plethora of Food Trucks, providing fresh hot food to ease the cold.
Ayaan Hossain, a Senior, said,” Along with all the stalls and food, I really enjoyed the entertainment they had for us. I especially enjoyed the EBSO Brass Quintet.”
Alongside the Quintet, the entertainment lineup consisted of Tommy and Friends, Mikey G and Friends, Vinya Chhabra, and the EB Teen Arts Council Carolers. In the senior center, Cookies with Claus took place, where families met and took photos with Santa. Afterwards, the families were treated to an assortment of desserts.
Sophomore Ashwin Ashokkumar, who assisted with Cookies with Claus, said,” Cookies with Claus at Winter Wonderland was so much fun, and it was great spreading holiday spirit to all the families.”
Making S’mores, where participants were given materials to roast their marshmallows over a small flame, an inflatable snow maze, crafts for kids, face painting, and character photo ops were all extremely popular events.
“Winter Wonderland was so fun! From Cookies with Claus in the afternoon to S’mores by the bonfire and the lighting ceremony at night, it was such an amazing day that truly brought the community together. East Brunswick Recreation, the Township Council, and Youth Council did an amazing job this year!” said Senior Carina Castillo.
Towards the end, everyone gathered around the Tree and Menorah for a lighting ceremony, bringing the night to a close. This event was truly one to be remembered, bringing holiday cheer and happiness to so many families.
