Queens, Crowns & Chorus Lines: Gov Ball is Back

With summer just around the corner, music lovers across the East Coast are gearing up for one of the most anticipated events of the season—Governors Ball 2025. From June 6th to 8th, Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens will transform into a vibrant, music-filled escape featuring over 60 artists across multiple stages.
Now celebrating its 15th anniversary, Gov Ball continues to bring together musical talent across numerous genres. This year’s headliners include Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, and Hozier. The three-day festival also features other artists like Benson Boone, Feid, Glass Animals, Conan Gray, Clairo, and Tyla, among many other performers.
“I’ve literally had the lineup poster saved in my camera roll since March,” said Sophomore Ananya Gupta. “Olivia Rodrigo live? That's going to be my entire personality for the rest of the summer.”
Beyond the music, Gov Ball has become known for its immersive festival experience. This includes the bold fashion, art installations, and food vendors serving everything from ramen to rainbow ice cream. For many first-time attendees, the energy of the crowd and the creativity on display are just as exciting as the performances themselves.
Senior Sofia May said, “It’s more than just seeing your favorite artists. It's about the feeling of being in a crowd where everyone’s just as hyped as you. I’m honestly counting down the days.”
As excitement builds and tickets sell fast, Gov Ball 2025 promises a weekend full of memories, music, and moments that will define the start of summer for EBHS students.
