The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3
SEPTEMBER 29, 2025, 9:19 A.M.
Love triangles, beach house memories, and enough drama to fuel every group chat at EBHS—The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 had it all. Students tuned in week after week, to watch Isabel “Belly” Conklin’s love story intensify–eager to find out which Fisher brother would ultimately win her heart.
Season 3 is set four years after the events of last season, following Belly into young adulthood still tethered to her summers at the beach house and haunted by memories of her first love triangles. Now engaged to one of the Fisher brothers, Belly navigated wedding plans with Jeremiah, sought to suppress memories of Conrad, and wrestled with the weight of grief and expectations all at once.
Senior Parintha Karthik pinpointed one of the season’s most heartfelt moments: “One notable moment from TSITP was when Belly danced and her mind flickered with memories of Conrad. She later admitted to Taylor that her wedding plans felt estranged from her expectations, confessing that she only ever imagined Conrad. This revelation really exemplifies how consuming their connection was: no matter how hard she tried to move on, Conrad remained her everything.”
Belly’s engagement to Jeremiah and the subsequent planning of their wedding formed the backbone of the season. From lavish country club tours to bridal showers to the struggles of apartment hunting with burdensome credit card debt, the series centered around a thematic coming of age whilst keeping the drama front and center. Conrad maintained a constant presence, even as Belly was presumably preparing to marry Jeremiah. He offered steady reassurance during the chaos of wedding planning and became a source of comfort in more intimate moments, such as the dedication of Susannah’s memorial garden.
Junior Liza Putsykovich also reflected on how the show had turned ordinary Wednesdays into mini-events: “I loved the show because there was just something exciting about making a big deal of every Wednesday and being involved in such a big community. I’d been watching since Season 1 but I am definitely much more invested now.”
The season didn’t just bring people together—it also delivered plenty of laughs thanks to its over-the-top drama. As Putsykovich said, “How could Jeremiah want to spend 750 dollars on a dark chocolate cacao‑raspberry cake when the ring he got for Belly was like a sliver of tinfoil?” Meanwhile, unexpected twists, including Jeremiah’s infidelity revelation, the brothers’ confrontations, and Belly’s spontaneous decision to move to Paris, kept fans debating who truly deserved her heart.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 combined romance, humor, and emotional authenticity in a way that resonated with EBHS students, and faculty alike. Jenny Han’s masterful use of emotional appeals allowed the story to feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. With the finale still on the horizon, fans eagerly await Belly’s ultimate decisions, debating who deserved her heart and speculating about the outcome. The season reminded viewers that sometimes the journey—and the twists and turns along the way—is just as compelling as the destination.
