Umme Rubab, Contributor

Umme Rubab is a senior, contributing to The Clarion. She typically writes about news and entertainment. Besides writing for The Clarion, she has been writing articles for HealthHope Initiative’s Blog on women’s health concerns for 2 years, during which she discovered her passion for writing. Her contributions to the HealthHope Initiative Blog–combined with other academics and community service–led to her receiving a New York Assembly Citation. Additionally, Umme also contributes to research for the Waksman Student Scholars Program, NEHS, SHH, and Rho Kappa.

Outside of school, she enjoys making paintings, reading, and spending time with her siblings. After high school, she plans on majoring in psychology and history, as she believes it would greatly enrich her writing experience, while opening up new doors for future opportunities.
